CHARITY OF CHOICE
5K RUN/WALK
October 18, 2025
Run/Walk & WIN for YOUR
Charity of Choice!
HOW IT WORKS:
#1 Win by - Group Participation Award
The three charities with the most number of runner and walker participants listing them as their "Charity of Choice" will receive a share of the 5K Oktoberfest Charity Run/Walk proceeds.*
1st Place - 25% of proceeds
2nd Place - 12.5% of proceeds
3rd Place - 7.5% of proceeds
#2 Win by - Random Drawing Award
All runner and walker participants listing a "Charity of Choice" on their registration form will participate in a random drawing. If your name is drawn your charity will participate in a share of the 5K Oktoberfest Charity Run/Walk proceeds.*
5% of proceeds
*Please Note
The Group Participation Awards and the Random Drawing Award will be announced at the awards ceremony immediately following the race. Ideally, the goal of this race is to cover costs with registration fees and use generous sponsor gifts to support the various charities of choice. In this first year, there is no guarantee the registration fees will cover costs nor what the "proceeds" may yield for charitable impact. We believe with your help this 5K Oktoberfest Charity Run/Walk can be a success. Please invite your friends to run/walk for your charity of choice, or for their own, or for ours! Also, please consider being a sponsor. (See below on "Sponsorship Levels" and "Sponsorship Perks.")

QUOTES FOR THE RUNNER OR WALKER IN YOU!
Fred Lebow, New York City Marathon co-founder
"In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that."
Juma Ikangaa, 1989 NYC Marathon winner
"The will to win means nothing without the will to prepare."
Isaiah the Prophet
"...but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Thomas Jefferson
"Hard things take time to do. Impossible things take a little longer." "I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have."
Eleanor Roosevelt
"You must do the thing you think you cannot do."
Paul the Apostle
"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."

Patti Sue Plumer, U.S. Olympian
"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."
