Pastor Mark Johnson at PLC

Mark Johnson was born and raised in Chicago, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology. In his previous life, he spent 23 years as a Senior Scientist for Hughes Aircraft Co. and Raytheon Co. Mark graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree and did his Lutheran year at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley. He was blessed to serve as Associate Pastor at Life Lutheran Church in Alhambra. Mark served as a chaplain in the ER at LA County Hospital and as a chaplain in the Alzheimer’s facility at St. John of God Care Center. He also served as a missionary for multiple missions in the People’s Republic of China. He tries to stay physically fit by regular attendance at the gym, and in fact, he met his lovely wife, Shirley at an LA Fitness. Shirley is multi-talented, including designing her own clothes patterns for her knitting and developing recipes for yummy desserts. After living for two years in Kunming, PRC, they very much appreciate spending the last two years in the wonders of Santa Clarita.
